This annual event is held on the Summer Solstice in Riverdale Park in Alliston

This annual Spelling Bee was held at Bond Head Golf Course to raise money for Next Steps Literacy Council in Alliston. Author Lawrence Hill was the guest speaker who gave an interesting and entertaining speech about the importance of literacy. The 'contestants' were required to spell many challenging words until the winner was declared.
